Sumo have been appointed to develop the branding for a major new arts development in the north of England.
Established in 1995, the Newcastle upon Tyne based Waygood has become one of the UK's leading artist-led contemporary visual arts venues. It provides studio facilities and support for artists and engages audiences with contemporary art through its exhibition programme.
In March work started on the development of a new £7.8 million arts venue for the organisation, consisting of artists' studios, public galleries, a learning centre, a café bar and club.
Sumo will work with Waygood to develop the branding for the new venue ahead of it opening in spring 2009.
