Shakespeare win for Sumo

Sumo has been appointed to redevelop the website for The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, the charity responsible for promoting the life and works of William Shakespeare.

The first part of the project is a restructured, redesigned visitor-facing site with more imagery, improved events listings and the opportunity to book online. The core of the website continues a new direction for the organisation – a more global, inclusive approach – allowing users to submit Shakespeare-related content for discussion and encouraging them to get involved in debate and conversation. The third thread of the website will be a corporate microsite and a call for donations and support.

Jemma Bowman, Digital Account Manager at Sumo said ‘We are delighted to have been appointed to work with this prestigious and multifaceted organisation. We are keen to help them to move their activities forward on a number of levels with this website and to provide them with a site which will serve their needs for years to come.’

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust website will be launched in early 2011.
